In April 2017 I was in California for a couple of weeks. In that time I saw a lot of art and was inspired, but also by the sun and the light. This resulted in a couple of sketches from which I made paintings when I was back in the Netherlands. Now some years later I still work on my follies.

An installation made for the nation-wide campaign 'Nederland leest' 2009.
'Remember me!' is an installation of little golden boxes with memories of a beloved person, of a period that doesn't exist anymore. The gold represent the release from the world. 'Remember me!' shows that memories are of all times. We make our own memories but we need the other to remember us.
