Space

Space

2018

Painting: Acrylic, bark and Paper on Canvas. Painting inspired by Mondriaan. I used the space between the branches of the tree, that stands in the garden of Vincent van Gogh's uncle in Princenhage (Breda). The spaces became new forms, only the bark reminds at the tree. So did Mondriaan, he painted a tree to find the depth of reality, in his search his tree became more and more abstract and what remained were a few lines.
